Brown Bag: Urban quality and pedestrian mobilities

The presentation takes point of departure in an on-going research project in C-MUS PRAKSIS, that concerns pedestrian mobilities in Aalborg. Aalborg is a mid-sized city in rapid development, with a host of planning initiatives and investments targeted towards a vision of combined urban quality, health, and sustainability. More active mobilities, herein pedestrian mobilities, are considered one of the significant means to meet the vision, with current planning explicitly aiming towards provision of better conditions for pedestrians to and through the city centre. At the BB we will report upon the status of the project, herein an academic literature study on urban quality and pedestrian mobilities.
