Brown Bag: FlexDanmark - demand responsive transport Danish style

FlexDanmark is an IT-organisation that works exclusively with demand responsive travel, and in this BB talk I will give an overview of the activities and projects that FlexDanmark is currently working on. Further this BB talk will also introduce flextrafik, which is the type of demand responsive travel FlexDanmark is responsible for on behalf of the traffic companies in Denmark. On a yearly basis 260.000 travelers conduct 6 mill. journeys, operated by some 5000 vehicles, with a 1.2 bn. DKK turnover. This public transport offer is vital for the mobility of elderly and disabled people, as well as for people living in areas with few other public transport offers. The talk will also introduce the mobility data that FlexDanmark owns. This data set constitutes one of the largest and most comprehensive mobility data sets in Denmark, so this is a chance to suggest questions and analyses for this dataset.
